Join an accountancy firm that’s big enough to progress in, and still small enough that your achievements are recognised.
You’ll be joining a medium sized accounts practice, assisting their entire portfolio of around 1000 businesses with tax compliance, planning and advice. You will get exposure to dealing with businesses of all shapes and sizes so you can develop your expertise in all aspects of corporate tax.
As a Tax Assistant, you’ll be dealing with all corporate tax client queries, tax reviews and as you gain experience, you’ll start to get involved with in-depth projects for the largest clients. Whether you’re a recent accounting and finance graduate with only a little experience, or you’re a veteran accountancy professional, you’ll get ongoing study support to pursue or complete your qualifications if you don’t have them already – either your ACCA or CTA qualifications.
Your manager, Rebecca, started with the company as a graduate trainee, and now is the number 2 beneath the Partner after 6 years. The company is also looking at long-term succession planning, so your potential won’t go unrecognised or unrewarded. They’re affiliated with practices across the country, so you could progress into other roles in their practice network across the UK.
