Our client is a public sector employer with around 1000 employees.
The role will involve taking ownership for checking and authorising the final payroll for almost 1000 staff.
The role will involve managing an outsourced payroll provider and help to improve the payroll service so it is more efficient and streamlined
The Payroll Manager will work on a project to assess whether to outsource the payroll to another provider or bring it in house.
The role starts on a contract basis but could become permanent.
You will need to have experience in pay and pensions. Public sector experience is desirable.
Experience of civil service or a Public service schemes are an advantage
Experience managing an outsourced payroll service ensuring service levels by building great relationships with the payroll provider
Ability to review current processes and procedures and make recommendations for change
Able to work to tight deadlines
Able to work under pressure.
